Cooks for Kids

We had a great time participating in Cooks for Kids at the St. Paul Children’s Hospital Ronald McDonald House Family Room. Our hearts (and bellies) were full after preparing and serving a meal to nearly 50 families.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides families a respite from the busy hospital environment just steps away from a child receiving medical treatment for a serious condition or disability. Providing a home-away-from-home to keep families together during a child’s serious illness is what Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest is all about. Each year, they serve over 6,600 families at their four Twin Cities locations:

Families are never required to pay for services – including lodging, meals, schooling, and more. If it takes a village to care for an ailing child, it takes a community to support the Ronald McDonald House. A house built by generous strangers, compassionate organizations and caring individuals. A House that Love Built.
